Ethno House Ražljevo

The Ethno House is located in the village of Ražljevo. It was built in 2004 and represents a typical Serbian house of the Podmajevići region, measuring 12.00 x 7.00 meters. The original structure dates back to the 1930s. The house has largely preserved its authentic appearance and construction, including the windows and doors, wooden framework, flooring in the main room, attic structure, four-sided roof covered with traditional “biber” tiles, and two chimneys. Alongside the central area called “the house,” there are two rooms — one on the right and one on the left. The porch and exterior window parts with shutters were later modified. The house stands on oak beams raised on low stone walls.

Inside the house, there are various ethnographic objects collected from households in Ražljevo and nearby villages. The house serves as a space where visitors can learn about the traditional way of life once common in this region, as well as the crafting methods used to make everyday objects in the past. It is also used for exhibitions of handicrafts and various cultural events.
