The mountaineering association “Platani” was founded in 2007. with the aim of popularizing mountaineering as a recreational activity for young people, who, in addition to educational content about nature, will be offered the challenge of visiting the most attractive mountain locations in Bosnia and Herzegovina and the surrounding area. The society primarily gravitates towards the northeastern edge of the Majevica mountain.
It owns a mountain lodge named “9. January”, built in 2015. year, at an altitude of 96 meters.
In addition to accommodation services, the association offers:
- restaurant/kitchen;
- sports fields;
- playgrounds for children;
- the stage;
- hiking trail for climbing;
- numerous hiking trails next to the house (circular trail length 4.5km and 14km).
