Mountaineering association “Granaš” was founded in 2006. with headquarters in Štrepci. At its founding, the society gathered 85 regular members. The founding of the mountaineering society was primarily driven by the idea of organizing various, already traditional activities and skills of mountaineering societies, such as: developing awareness and conscience about the need to protect nature, both in the native and wider environment, the intention to primarily involve the young people of this region in a society of lovers of nature and the environment as a prerequisite for human survival on earth.
Excursionists can enrich themselves with physical, cultural and spiritual values while visiting the Zovica hiking site. Here, a clean and natural environment awaits them, unexpectedly preserved beauty of the landscape and rarely seen cultural, historical and natural landmarks, scenes of changing hill-valley scenes that can be taken in at a single glance. There are also plenty of suitable elevations from which the view expands into the endless playful Posavina and Slavonian plains.
The company offers:
- accommodation services in beds (25 beds), as well as the possibility of sleeping on mattresses in the attic for 20 people;
- arranged area near the home for setting up 30 tents;
- large living room suitable for various seminars, meetings, lectures with a capacity of 50 seats, terrace 60m², kitchen, grill, oven, toilet;
- arranged space for sports activities and recreation;
- adrenaline park suitable for smaller children as well as youth;
- marked hiking trails over 40 km long.
