Mountaineering Society “Granaš”

The Mountaineering Society “Granaš” was founded in 2006, with its headquarters in Štrepci. At the time of its establishment, the society brought together 85 regular members. The society was primarily founded with the aim of organising various traditional mountaineering activities and skills, such as raising awareness of the need to protect nature both locally and more broadly, as well as encouraging young people from the area to join a community of nature and environmental enthusiasts as a prerequisite for the preservation of life on Earth. Visitors can enrich themselves physically, culturally and spiritually by exploring the mountaineering site Zovica. Here, they are welcomed by a clean and natural environment, remarkably preserved landscapes, and rare cultural and natural landmarks, with scenic views of hills and valleys that can be enjoyed at a glance. There are also numerous viewpoints offering views of the vast Posavina region and the plains of Slavonia.

The association offers:

accommodation (25 beds), as well as the possibility of sleeping on mattresses in the attic for 20 person; a designated camping area for up to 30 tents; a large common room suitable for seminars, meetings and lectures (capacity of 50 seats); a 60 m² terrace, kitchen, barbecue, oven and toilet facilities; arranged areas for sports and recreational activities; an adventure park suitable for children and young people; marked hiking trails with a total length of over 40 km.
