Over the past three years, from the establishment of an informal citizens’ group to the registration as the environmental association EKO TIM FAZANERIJA, the members of the association have collected a wealth of material. Their fight against illegal dumping and unauthorized logging, which had devastated the Fazanerija area, has yielded results. They managed to stop a significant portion of the unlawful activities. To prevent further negative impacts, they decided to use part of the Fazanerija territory to create a mobile recreational center with diverse facilities. Their goal is to attract as many visitors as possible, especially children, in order to preserve this area.

In addition, they are revitalizing Fazanerija as a beautiful nature park that will include a zoo, adventure park, landscaped recreational areas, and renewable energy sources. They also plan to find an investor to restore the motel, which currently stands in ruins but holds emotional value for many people. Furthermore, they aim to revitalize the pheasant breeding incubator, which is currently devastated, offering part of the production to the market while releasing the rest of the birds into nature.

Fazanerija is classified as a protected area of special importance for the Brčko District. However, there is concern that this protection could be lost if appropriate measures are not taken.
