The first international handball tournament, Lokomotiva Cup, was held in 2003. For more than two decades, the tournament has brought together some of the best youth teams from across Europe.

On the occasion of this international handball event, teams from Denmark, France, Slovakia, Hungary, Ukraine, the Czech Republic, Serbia, Montenegro, North Macedonia, Greece, Israel, Croatia and Slovenia have visited our city.

Due to the coronavirus pandemic, the tournament had a one-year break. This December we are organising the jubilee 20th Lokomotiva Cup, where, alongside our regular participants, we also expect new teams from the very top of European handball.
