BiH Colour Festival is one of the largest electronic and hip-hop music events in Bosnia and Herzegovina, attracting around 4,500 to 5,000 visitors each year. Since 2016, it has been held at an outdoor venue in the city, typically used as a driver training ground, usually during the last weekend of July. The festival’s concept is based on the symbolic throwing of colours every hour, representing freedom, diversity and unity. The programme takes place across two festival stages, where more than 25 performers appear over the course of two days. During the BiH Colour Festival, all hotel capacities in the city are typically fully booked, highlighting the important tourist value of this event for the city. The organisation of the festival also involves more than 120 young people, mostly volunteers who gain valuable experience through their participation.
