Islahijet

Islahijet is a building complex located in the Kolobara neighbourhood, near the confluence of the Brka River and the Sava. The complex, dating from the Austro-Hungarian period, consists of the Islahijet House, four residential and commercial buildings with storage facilities, and a row of buildings opposite the Islahijet House (including two commercial buildings, along with the site, its remains and adjoining plots)

All buildings were constructed separately, in different periods, but share the same number of storeys (ground floor + one upper floor). They are irregular in form, with varying wall angles, diverse façade treatments, and different decorative and roof elements.

The Islahijet building was renovated in 2009, when the first phase of reconstruction was carried out (including works on the external façade, joinery works, and most of the interior works), while the remaining buildings within the complex are in poor structural condition.

Islahijet has been declared a National Monument of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
