International theater meetings of Brčko District of Bosnia and Herzegovina
Theater meetings in Brčko were founded 50 years ago. year. In its half-century-long tradition, Meetings have changed their rules and propositions of organization, production, the structure of evaluating and rewarding performances and individuals, the way of selection and selection of performances. At the beginning, there were Meetings of BH theaters, with domestic dramatic creativity, then Meetings of BH theaters with international participation of plays, which are performed according to the text of BH. author or authors who write in one of the official languages in BiH.
Today, these are the widely known “International Theater Meetings”, in which all theaters (from BiH and abroad) can participate, with quality performances, regardless of the language in which the dramatic text is written or performed, provided that it is translated, that it is performed, or that it is subtitled, in one of the official languages in Bosnia and Herzegovina.
The vision of the meeting is the conquest of artistic freedom, internationalization, the opening of new theater art spaces from which theater projects can be presented, and the equalization of all artists in terms of competition.
At Meetings, the audience can enjoy eight main competition performances, one final revue performance, numerous children’s performances and a diverse accompanying program, which offers numerous exhibitions, book promotions and similar cultural content.
